The statement issued by the Presidential Media Unit that Rs. 19.4 million has been spent on the purchase of 10 ambulances using the covid fund under the President is a false one, said NPP Parliamentarian Vijitha Herath in Parliament yesterday (23rd).
He further stated that although it has been stated that 10 ambulances have been procured as per the announcement issued by the Presidential Media Unit, the Minister of Health Pavithra Wanniarachchi has made a contradictory statement in Parliament. The Minister of Health has stated that the procurement of ambulances from the fund has not been completed yet.
