To keep independent police service in our country
As a concerned citizen and aspiring entrepreneur, I’ve noticed that the current process for registering even a sole proprietorship in Sri Lanka is cumbersome and outdated. The requirement to physically visit provincial councils, obtain physical forms, and provide unnecessary documentation seems inefficient, especially in the digital age. Why can't I just go to a government website and pay a fee and register the damn thing within several hours?! (It’s easier to register a business in Delaware than here in my own country.) My question is: If the NPP comes into power, what specific steps will you take to modernize and streamline the business registration process? How do you plan to leverage technology to make it more accessible, efficient, and corruption-resistant?
