I have worked as professor at a university in Texas USA, and snd most of my saving to Sri Lanka to help the economy. Today my savings and investments are depreciated as result of economic meltdown in 2022. As I remember in 2022 the foreign debit of Sri Lanka was over 80 billion US dollars and now it must be over 100 billion. Country can not develop without paying those debits. My questions are 1. Can someone explain the future plan of NPP after winning the election to develop the country without borrowing from foreign banks? If it is confidential, I can meet with someone or a group after the election to learn this. BTW: I am a 1971 JVP member and still I am. 2. In my estimation (or opinion), it might take over 10 years to develop the country to the level of average third world country. Is your vision for this goal shorter than this? In few days I will be in Sri Lanka to campaign AKD. I will be working with many villages (Kottasa Saba). I like to hear the answer to this just to verify that I am not giving a wrong information. 3. Many villagers asked me whether the NPP is going to recover the stolen money from the past rulers? Because they understand that the present unfortunate situation of country is as a result of bad policies and bad rulers. Also they know that the rulers became rich in a short period while general public became poor. My US phone number is +1 254 7161145

Thank you for your interest. We are happy to welcome you here.
1. An NPP government has a comprehensive strategy to transform our economy into a modern, production-based system that fully optimizes national resources as well as already established industries. The aim is to reduce Sri Lanka's dependence on foreign borrowing. Our complete economic policy will be detailed in the NPP policy document, which is set to be launched very soon.
2. The NPP has the expertise and leadership needed to significantly improve our economic situation and raise the public's standard of living within the first few years of our tenure.
3. Yes, we will do everything in our power to hold those who have defrauded the public accountable and bring them to justice.

I'm an A/L student. We see today's education system is not much updated for the globally demanded technological environment. If we want to play a crucial role in the global economy, we need to make an economical revolution with Information Technology and encourage teenagers to try to be enentrepreneurs by creating new solutions in the tech world. Even though everyone can't be entrepreneurs, some will gain success and make companies like Google, Microsoft, Samsung, Toyota, etc. By changing education system for a more practical (like not to train a fish to climb a tree), I think as a country, we can do much. What if every students can learn just what they want for their future job rather than measuring them with unnecessary subjects in exams (focus on more of them and save time)? As a student who is trying to be a master in computer software field, I'd like to ask Mr. Anura Dissanayake, who has the majority of votes in the most of the surveys for the upcoming election, after considering what I addressed above, What is your vision and mission in developing the economy of the country by improving the current education system? And Do you believe that the traditional school system's strict rules must continue forever? I'm glad if you can response to these as a leader who listen to the people of the country. Thank you...

Thank you for your inquiry. The NPP has identified the IT sector as a priority for development to secure a significant share of the global IT market. We plan to introduce a parallel education pathway in vocational training, starting from grade 9 and extending to the degree level. This pathway will be specifically designed to provide up-to-date knowledge in all our priority sectors, including IT, ensuring that our IT experts are well-equipped to compete in both local and global markets. I learned about the education system in Switzerland from a Swiss tourist. There after l did study from the Internet. It appears a very practical and relevant system. I believe we could learn something by observing it . I am forwarding a link for your reference, please - https://www.swissinfo.ch/eng/sci-tech/the-swiss-education-system-explained/48148948#:~:text=Compulsory%20education%20(kindergarten%2C%20primary%20and,as%20can%20be%20seen%20below.&text=In%20many%20cantons%2C%20there's%20a,15%20after%20lower%20secondary%20school

Dissanayaka

I'm a Sri Lankan and had a clear vision for your party. You started the campaign respectfully, and it was going very well. But recently, there has been negative feedback. Currently, the speeches by your members, including Mr. Anura Dissanayake, are not effective. Now I’m beginning to think that you are not aiming to form a government and that it was all just an act. Do your people really not intend to form a government? I can't understand. Also, have you seen the Hiru TV Facebook campaign? They are editing your videos and creating different versions that convey a completely different meaning. Now I’m starting to believe that you don’t want to fight back and that you’re planning to hand over your votes to someone else.

Thank you for your idea. We understand the valid concern that some remarks by our speakers might be misrepresented by the media. The NPP is committed to forming a people’s government in the next election. While we believe that the public is now more politically aware and less susceptible to false media narratives than in previous elections, we agree with your feedback that we should minimize opportunities for such misrepresentation. Services done by anura Kumara dissanayaka as Agricultural minister

Admin

Thank you for your inquiry. Anura Kumara Dissanayake was the only Agriculture Minister to implement a systematic approach across the entire agricultural sector. He began with a comprehensive problem analysis and implemented solutions before leaving the government. His 10,000 tank rehabilitation project was aimed at ensuring water supply to the dry zone. During his tenure, he appointed no political figures to lead institutions under his purview, and by the time he left the ministry, all previously loss-making institutions were turned into profitable ones.
