The IT Professionals’ Summit of NPP was successfully held on 13th August 2024 under the theme DoIT5.0 at Taj Samudra Hotel, Colombo. A large crown from different dimensions of IT sector participated for the event including DevOps Advisor and NPP ICT Committee member Ms. Randima Somathilaka, the CEO of ‘Roda’ Mr. Eyas Fazul, Former Director of John Keels Research Dr. Muditha Senarath Yapa and NHMRC Australia Research Associate Dr. Rajith Vidanarachchi were at the spotlight. The discussions revolved around how the IT professionals can contribute towards NPP Digital policy and its content.
The Chief Guest, Mr. Anura Kumara Dissanayake highlighted the fact that even if we preach about Digital Technology, our country is still in Dirty Politics.
The gathering also included Dr. Nalinda Jayatisse – NPP ExCo member, Mr. Chathuranga Abeysinghe – NPP ExCo member, Eng. Eranga Weeraratne – NPP ExCo member, and Eng. Indika Gamage – E-commerce advisor. The participants were amble to engage with the speaker panel by raising their questions and concerns through an QR code.
