Today (06) in the morning, New Zealand High Commissioner to Sri Lanka Mr. Michael Appleton Met Comrade Anura Dissanayake, the leader of the National People’s Force, at the J.V.P. head office.
With the official opening of a New Zealand High Commission in Sri Lanka for the first time, Mr. Michael Appleton began his duties in Sri Lanka and this meeting was held to mark his departure from his two and a half years of service in Sri Lanka.
As the National People’s Power, we especially praised Mr. Michael Appleton for his contribution by coming to Sri Lanka amid the challenging COVID epidemic and strengthening the diplomatic relations between our two countries.
Comrade Vijitha Herath, a National Executive Member of the National Peoples Power also joined the occasion.
