The discussion regarding the petition filed in the High Court against the sale of land belonging to Milko Company and the National Plantation Development Board (NLDB) was held today (01) at 10.30 am.
The case was filed by People’s Movement for Protection of Industrial and Agricultural Lands.
Commenting on the matter, Namal Karunaratne, National Organizer of the All Ceylon Farmers Federation, said, ‘Lands owned by Milko and the National Plantation Development Board are valuable resources in Sri Lanka. We have an advanced programme to utilize these resources for nation-building, and therefore, we must protect them. We anticipate justice from the Supreme Court.’
