Today (22) morning, a meeting was held between US Ambassador Julie Chung and JVP General Secretary Tilvin Silva at the JVP Head Office.
The current social and political situation in the country, the ‘Clean Sri Lanka’ program and ways in which the United States can support it were discussed at length.
The US Embassy’s Political Officer Adam L. Michelo and Political Affairs Specialist Nasir Marikkar were also present on this occasion. On behalf of the JVP, its International Affairs Committee Member and Attorney Madhu Kalpana also joined.
