Leaders of the National People’s Power, who are on a special visit to India, today (07) held a meeting with Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel at Vidana Sabha (State Legislative Assembly) in Gandhinagar. Development strategies for poverty alleviation in the state and the state administration process were discussed here.
After that, a special meeting was held with Mr. Balvantsinh Rajput, Minister of Industries of that state, and a presentation was made on the ‘Gujarat Model’, which is used as a development model for the Indian government. Energy reforms, agriculture and water, infrastructure improvement, industry and investment, healthcare and women empowerment are the key areas of this Gujarat development model. An observation tour of agricultural areas and agro-industries was also conducted in Ahmedabad.
