Yesterday afternoon (19th), the Presidential candidate of the NPP, Mr. Anura Kumara Dissanayake paid homage to the Sri Maha Bodhi in Anuradhapura. During his visit, he met with the Sanganayaka of the Nuwara Kalaviya region and the Chief Incumbent of Atamasthana, Most Venerable Pallegama Hemarathana Thero. They discussed the current political situation in the country, and he was honoured to receive the blessings for success in the upcoming presidential election from the Chief Incumbent of Atamasthana. Mr. Wasantha Samarasinghe, a member of the National Executive Committee of the NPP, accompanied Mr. Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
